According to reports, Akshay Kumar’s Innova security vehicle was involved in a serious road mishap following a chain collision with a Mercedes and an autorickshaw. Two individuals, including the autorickshaw driver and his passenger, were injured in the incident.
Mohammed Sameer, the brother of the injured autorickshaw driver, spoke to ANI about the accident:
“This incident happened around 8 to 8:30 pm. My brother was driving the rickshaw with a passenger in the backseat when Akshay Kumar’s Innova and a Mercedes were behind us. The Mercedes hit the Innova, which then crashed into the rickshaw. My brother and the passenger were trapped under the vehicle. The rickshaw was completely destroyed, and my brother is in a very serious condition.”
Plea for Help
Sameer also urged for proper medical treatment and compensation for the damaged autorickshaw:
“They asked us to leave the spot. My only request is that my brother should receive proper treatment and that compensation is provided for the damage to the rickshaw. We don’t want anything else.”
He added:
“We took my brother to Criti Care, but we are poor and can’t afford it. My brother is in critical condition, and I just want him to recover.”
Mumbai Police Update
According to the Mumbai Police, the accident occurred around 9:00 pm. Neither Akshay Kumar nor any family members were in the car, which is used exclusively for the actor’s private security. Two people were reportedly injured in the collision and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Several videos from the scene have surfaced online, showing locals assisting authorities in pulling an injured man from the wrecked autorickshaw.
The Juhu police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the Mercedes driver, and further investigations are underway.
